For the launch of the Audi A3, we needed a way to say this was Audi’s most technically advanced marque. By chance, I came across a fact in an Audi coffee table book saying Audi had registered more than 7000 patents. A quick search online showed that was more than NASA. Thus, a big TV and cinema idea was born, and we launched the A3 into space. When it came back down to Earth, it picked up 2 British Arrows and a D&AD wooden pencil.
